CNS Control Network Switcher

The Nemesis CNS Control Network Switcher enables seamless and rapid switching between two network ports in a dual-redundant system with the press of a button, OSC command or from another device's GPI contact closure.
Whether you're managing a live show, installation, or broadcast environment, the CNS Control Network Switcher delivers powerful, fail-safe network control you can trust.

With support for the “offline” port to either be fully isolated or still receive network traffic but not transmit. Alternatively, take full control with the ability to switch between fully customisable VLAN patches across all four ports.
The CNS is equipped with multiple operating modes to integrate seamlessly into any redundant or mission-critical network. In Unmanaged Mode, all four Ethernet ports are active, allowing data to pass freely between devices.
For dual redundant setups where you wish to swap fully between 2 computers, Fully Isolated Mode completely blocks the isolated port from all network traffic, while Semi-Isolated Mode allows it to receive and respond to data without transmitting to the wider network.
VLAN Patch Mode empowers users with the ability to switch between two fully customisable VLAN configurations, ensuring precise control over routing and communication between devices such as QLab systems.
Operational clarity is provided by a clear front panel layout. Real-time network activity is visible through individual NET 1–4 LEDs, while PSU indicators confirm the status of the dual redundant power supplies. The NET status light ensures instant feedback on network connectivity, and an ERR indicator warns of any critical issues, including disconnections or power failures.

On the rear panel, the CNS offers four rugged etherCON RJ45 ports for reliable, professional-grade network connections. A 5-pin XLR Remote Control Port allows external automation and control integration, while the power input supports 110–230V AC via a powerCON connector, ensuring compatibility across international power standards.
The CNS arrives preconfigured with default network settings, including a static IP address (192.168.1.253), subnet mask (255.255.255.0), and OSC port (53500). The device is accessible via any web browser using its IP address or default device name ("CNS"), making initial setup and ongoing configuration fast and easy.
To ensure your system stays current, the CNS supports over-the-air firmware updates through the secure Nemesis update server. For advanced control, the CNS also features full support for real-time OSC commands for specific functions instantly.
A simple factory reset can be performed by holding the yellow Patch B button on the front panel during startup, returning the unit to its default IP address and normal switch mode.

Used in a dual-redundant QLab setup, the CNS allows you to instantly switch OSC control between your primary and backup computers with the press of a button.
